We have made some important changes to our blood test booking service.
From 2 November 2026, The Thorndike Surgery will only provide blood test appointments for patients registered with our practice.
Registered Patients
If you are registered with The Thorndike Surgery and need to book a blood test appointment, please contact the surgery on:

Our reception team will be happy to arrange an appointment for you.
Please note that blood test appointments form part of our normal appointment booking service. The dedicated blood test booking line has now been withdrawn, and all blood test appointments for registered patients should be arranged through our main surgery telephone number.
Patients Not Registered with The Thorndike Surgery
We are no longer able to provide community blood test appointments for patients who are not registered with our practice.
If your blood test has been requested by another healthcare provider, hospital, or clinic, please contact the clinician or service that requested the test. They will advise you where your blood test can be carried out.
Important Information
- Blood test appointments are available for registered patients only.
- The dedicated blood test booking line is no longer in use.
- Registered patients should contact the main surgery number (01634 817217) to book a blood test appointment.
- We are unable to arrange blood test appointments for patients registered with other GP practices.
- All blood test appointments must be requested and booked through our usual appointment booking process.
